Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our services at Marigold Thai Therapy Cardiff.
What is Thai massage?
Thai massage is a traditional form of therapy that combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. It is known for its holistic approach to healing, focusing on the body’s energy lines (Sen) to balance physical and spiritual well-being.
What should I expect during a Thai massage?
Therapists will use their hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure, stretch, and manipulate your body into various yoga-like positions.
Sessions typically last between 30 to 120 minutes, depending on your preference.
Do you wear clothes during a Thai massage?
It’s entirely up to you and it really depends on the type of service you’ve chosen. For Thai Yoga you might consider wearing something loose, for anything involving oil you might consider taking as much off as you’re comfortable with. We’ll provide a large towel to cover the areas of your body that isn’t being massaged.
Is there anything I should do to prepare for a Thai massage?
Make sure you are well-hydrated before your session.
Try not to eat a large meal immediately before your massage to avoid discomfort.
Arriving a 5-10 minutes early allows you to relax and discuss any health concerns or areas of focus with your therapist.
How can I book a Thai massage?
Simply browse our services page, select your desired service, and click the relevant Book Now links. Alternatively you can call us or walk-in.
What payment methods do you accept?

How often should I get a Thai massage?
The frequency depends on your individual needs and goals. For general maintenance, once a month is common. If addressing specific issues like chronic pain, more frequent sessions may be recommended.
